Турция попала в категорию «несвободных стран» в докладе «Свобода в мире — 2020: борьба за демократию в отсутствие лидеров».
Как сообщает «Голос Америки», Турция сохранила прошлогоднюю позицию и осталась в категории «несвободных стран» в отчете неправительственной организации Freedom House за 2020 год.
Составители назвали 10 худших стран среди 49 «несвободных» — Таджикистан, Ливия, Сомали, Саудовская Аравия, Эквадор, Гвинея, Северная Корея, Туркменистан, Южный Судан, Эритрея. Сюда же включена и Сирия.
Отмечается, что Турция оказалась второй страной в мире, где отмечается откат свобод за последние 10 лет. За это время Турция потеряла 31 балл и оказалась второй после Бурунди (32 балла).
Согласно отчета Freedom House, из 195 стран 83 отнесены к «свободным», 63 — к «частично свободным» и 49 — к «несвободным». Число свободных стран сократилось на три процента за последние 10 лет. Частично свободные страны увеличились на 2 процента, а несвободные – на 1 процент.
